The Township of East Garafraxa is seeking applications from members of the public for a public member appointment to the joint Police Service Board (“Board”).
The participating municipalities in the joint Board consist of the Township of East Garafraxa, Township of Amaranth and the Town of Grand Valley. The newly formed joint Board will consist of one Council Member and one public member from each of the three municipalities, and one provincially appointed member.
East Garafraxa is currently seeking to fill one public member position. The appointment will be in place for the remainder of the 2022-2026 term of Council.
Applications are to be submitted electronically through the online form by 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2024.
Applicants are encouraged to include background information and any special qualifications or interest related to the joint Police Service Board.
Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years old, a Canadian Citizen and a resident of the Township of East Garafraxa, and not employed by the Board or Municipality.
The successful candidate will be required to complete mandatory training with respect to the roles and responsibilities of the Board and its members.
