Council Code of Conduct By-Law to adopt a Code of Conduct for members of Council.

The Delegation of Powers and Duties By-Law is to set out the scope of the powers and duties in which Council may delegate its legislative and administrative authority and to establish principles governing such delegation. This policy has been developed in accordance with the Act in order to comply with its other applicable sections, including section 270. This policy applies to all committees of Council, departments and staff.

To Regulate and License Dogs By-Law 2-95, as amended by By-Law 32-2005 and By-Law 48-2022, to regulate the keeping of animals, to provide for animal identification systems for licensing, requiring leashing of dogs, regulating and requiring registration of dogs, and for prohibiting and regulating the running at large of dogs in the municipality.

The Emergency Management Program By-Law to adopt an Emergency Management Program and Emergency Response Plan and meet other requirements under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.

The False Alarm Reduction By-Law to provide for reduction in the number of false alarms requiring the deployment of police resources within the Corporation of The Township of East Garafraxa and for establishing tariff of fees.

A Filming or Special Events By-Law to regulate Filming or Special Events in the Township.

A Fire Permit By-Law to regulate the setting of fires and prevent the spreading of fires and establish a fire permit system.

A Noise By-Law to prohibit excessive noise.

Nuisances By-Law to prohibit and regulate public nuisances, including matters that in the opinion of Council are or could become public nuisance, including the storage of abandoned or derelict vehicles.

Procedural By-Law to govern the proceedings of Council for the Township of East Garafraxa.

A Sign By-Law as amended by By-Law 5-2020 prohibiting or regulating signs and any other advertising devices within the Township. No person shall erect, display, alter or relocate any sign located upon private or public property unless a permit has been obtained in accordance with the provisions of the By-Law's.

Swimming Pool Fences By-Law to require fences and gates around privately owned outdoor swimming pools within the Township.

Site Alteration By-Law as amended by By-Law 35-2015 to prohibit or regulate site alterations, placement of fill, removal of topsoil and the alteration of the grade of land within the Township.

Site Plan Control By-Law to repeal By-Law 8-2007, as amended, and to adopt a By-Law to designate site plan control area in the Township of East Garafraxa, and to appoint an authorized person for the purposes of granting site plan approval under the Planning Act

A Tariff of Fees for Fire Department Services By-Law as amended by By-Law 41-2018 to provide for establishing tariff of fees for fire department services.

A Tariff of Fees for Municipal Cost Recovery By-Law to undertake review and/or consultation for municipal rights of way or municipal consultation for renewable energy project.

A Tariff of Fees for Planning Matters By-Law 28-2025 being a By-Law to prescribe a tariff of fees for planning matters.

A Telecommunication Facility Installation By-Law to adopt a telecommunication facility policy.

The Township Zoning By-Law is a legal document, which is used to control the development of properties and buildings. Zoning Classifies properties into zones such Agricultural, Rural, Estate Residential, etc. Each of these zones has legally enforceable regulations attached to them such as the location and size of building.
