Residents of the Township may use the services of any of the libraries listed below:

Grand Valley Public Library

Visit Grand Valley Public Library and search "Your Library" for on-line catalogue and hours of operation. No membership fees apply. 

Orangeville Public Library

Orangeville Library user fees are now reimbursed directly to the library (one per household annually).

Community Centres

 

Grand Valley and District Community Centre

The Grand Valley and District Community Centre is a multi use recreational facility that offers ice rentals and room rentals. 

Township residents are not subject to non-resident fees for programs run through the Grand Valley and District Community Centre.

Town of Orangeville Community Centres

There are two recreation centres in the Town of Orangeville, Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre and the Alder Recreation Centre,  both recreation centres offer a variety of programs. 

Township residents are subject to non-resident fees for programs run through the Town of Orangeville recreation centres. However, the non-resident fees can be reimbursed by the Township, some exclusions apply. Non-resident fees for private or semi-private lessons will be reimbursed at an equivalent amount to a group lesson non-resident fee. Please contact the Township office for more details.

Orton Community Association 

For more than 50 years the Orton Community Association has been creating community, welcoming neighbours and fostering community pride.  The OCA is a non-profit, charitable group run by extra-Orton-ary volunteers living in Orton, whose objectives are to:

  • Encourage positive and meaningful connections with others via neighbourhood and community events;
  • Promote healthy, active lifestyles for all members of our community; and
  • Foster and develop community pride.
