A Provincial Guide: Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation
Accessibility standards have been created as part of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. These standards are rules that businesses and organizations in Ontario need to follow to identify, remove and prevent barriers so that people with disabilities have more opportunities to participate in everyday life.

Annual Status Report
In accordance with Ontario Regulation 191/11, Integrated Accessibility Standards under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), municipalities are required to prepare an Annual Accessibility Status Report. This report outlines the progress made each year in implementing the initiatives and actions identified in the municipality’s Multi-Year Accessibility Plan. As per Section 4(3) of the regulation, the report must be posted on the municipality’s website and made available in an accessible format upon request.

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan
The Township of East Garafraxa is committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible community where all residents, visitors, and staff can participate fully and independently. In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), the Township’s Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (2026–2031) outlines our ongoing efforts to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility.
The Plan highlights past achievements and sets out strategies and actions across key areas, including customer service, information and communications, employment, procurement, training, and the design of public spaces. It reflects the Township’s commitment to the principles of dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity, and supports the delivery of accessible programs, services, and facilities.
The approved Multi-Year Accessibility Plan is available below and can be provided in an alternative format upon request. The Township welcomes feedback from the public to help guide continuous improvement in accessibility.
