Attention Marsville Water Users!

You are invited to an in-person presentation regarding the Marsville Municipal Water System Assessment Report.

The Township, in conjunction with the Grand River Conservation Authority, is excited to announce the return of the Tree Program!

A survey has been created to assist with the consultative process in developing the 2026-2028 Action Plan.  The priorities remain the same as the previous Action Plan: Crime, Roadways/Waterways/Trails and Community Well-being.  

The survey is open as of now and closes Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.

Beginning in December, the Province is changing how 9-1-1 medical calls are dispatched in Dufferin County with the Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS).

The new MPDS will help ensure that medical help gets to those who need it faster in the community, so that Dufferin Paramedic Service has the best chance at saving you or someone you love during a critical health emergency.

Grand Valley and District Fire Department is currently accepting applications for volunteer firefighters.  Interested candidates can apply by submitting a cover letter and detailed resume to the Training Officer by email or stopping by the fire hall on a Thursday evening between 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

The application process closes October 31, 2025.

The Township of East Garafraxa invites all residents, landowners, and stakeholders to attend a public workshop focused on key land use planning topics as part of the creation of the new Official Plan for the Township.

Please note that our office will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025.  Our regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.

Effective Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., the burn ban that was put in place on August 6th has been lifted for the municipalities of Dufferin County.

Residents are reminded to follow the rules of the Open-Air Burning By-law.

These rules are in place to ensure the safety of the entire community.
