The International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) is coming to Dufferin September 19-23, 2023!
This event is held annually in Ontario and is North America’s largest outdoor agricultural and rural expo and attracts more than 80,000 visitors over the 5 day event.
This is an opportunity to showcase our rich abundance of agricultural farmland and quaint towns and villages within Dufferin County.
The 2023 IPM Beautification Competition is your opportunity to visually demonstrate your community spirit and to make the
surrounding areas more appealing to our visitors.
The contest engages the communities within Dufferin by creating outdoor visual displays that incorporate the theme (Breathe In Dufferin- Ontario’s Heartland), flowers (Hydrangea and Fall Mums) and colours (cream, blue, rust) of the 2023 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo.
Get involved and be creative.
Prizes will be awarded in each of the main categories of Urban, Rural and Business (includes stores, churches) and barn quilts.
The more displays the greater the impact!

To Enter:
- Fill out the entry Form. No Fee, open to all within Dufferin County
- Take a photo 8”x10” (high resolution .jpg) of your display, complete and submit the entry form electronically to: IPM2023beautification@gmail.com
Rules:
Submissions must:
- Include a photo 8”x10” (high resolution .jpg)
- Be received before the deadline
- Entries can be front door or end of laneways
Prizes:
A total of 2,500 is up for grabs!
1st, 2nd & 3rd will be awarded for each category as follows.
1st prize- $300 2nd Prize- $200 3rd Prize- $100
